Welcome to the Official Singletary Scholars Website!

The Otis A. Singletary Scholarship, named after the University of Kentucky's eighth president, is a prestigious merit scholarship awarded to up to 25 incoming students UK students for their future potential to lead lives of intellect, integrity, and service in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and the world. Each Singletary Scholar is admitted to the Lewis Honors College, which aims to cultivate their leadership capacity via self-awareness assessments, dynamic classroom discussions, conversations with community leaders, and experiential learning, among many other opportunities. Each scholar joins a network of engaged leaders across the region and nation and serves as an example of the caliber of students at a world-class Honors College. 

Singletary Scholars take three 1-credit courses designed to deepen their understanding of leadership and cultivate and practice these skills. Through these courses, the Singletary Scholars plan the Lewis Honors College Leadership Conference to further develop their leadership capacity.
